About BWLCHGWERNOG

As the perfect escape from reality, BWLCHGWERNOG offers an experience like no other.

Deep in the Welsh valleys, this 17th Century cottage offers an escape from modern day life. With no mobile phone signal, no wifi and no television signal, this quirky cottage offers holiday makers and escape from the 21st century.

Built in the 1600s, BWLCHGWERNOG has changed over the years.  Throughout the years, the cottages have become home to many generations of the Priestley family of Terfan, who also owned the majority of near by village Nantmor, as part of the estate of Hafod Garegog.

Built of stone, and painted in lime, this traditional Elizabethan cottage was first rented out to our Family for £12 per year. Having fallen in love with the properties cosy vibe, we purchased the cottages in the 1960s, and have been enjoying our escape from reality ever since.

Having not gained access to electricity until 1963, along with the rest of the valley, the cottages have been modernised to an extent. However being a listed building, it is important to our family that we have retained a traditional experience for all. With no mobile phone signal, no Wifi and no television signal, these quirky cottages offer holiday makers an escape from the 21st century, just like we had as children!

Whether you're looking for a romantic escape, or a fun filled family break, BWLCHGWERNOG is the holiday  cottage for all of your loved ones- even those with four legs!
